Denken Sie beispielsweise an Ihren ersten Schultag zurück. Die Aufregung, neue Menschen und fremde Gesichter – Lächeln mit Kreidezähnen? Eigentlich undenkbar. 18.02.2025Developmental Enamel Opacities: A New, Validated Treatment ApproachFluorosis, MIH, amelogenesis imperfecta, and trauma-induced enamel opacities affect countless people worldwide. Patients suffer from aesthetic impairments and tooth hypersensitivity. This can lead to social exclusion, bullying, functional complaints, and pain. Nevertheless, there have been few adequate treatment options to date for this group of patients, most of whom are young. DMG presents a validated, minimally invasive treatment concept combining bleaching, infiltration, and 3D printing technology. Infiltration with Icon: A Game-Changer for Patients with Developmental Enamel Opacities The minimally invasive infiltration procedure using Icon Vestibular offers an effective and gentle solution for conditions such as MIH on anterior teeth. The treated area blends seamlessly with the healthy enamel. Infiltration in cases of MIH preserves healthy tooth structure—a crucial advantage in the treatment of young patients. It also gently improves the aesthetic appearance. Infiltration Plus Bleaching for an Optimal Overall Result To achieve a harmonious overall result, it is necessary to prepare the teeth for the subsequent infiltration. This pretreatment of developmental enamel opacities conditions the protein-rich lesions, thereby optimally preparing them for infiltration therapy. With DMG’s Flairesse Bleaching Gel, a medical device is now available that, thanks to its low concentrations of CP 5% and CP 10%, enables precisely this type of gentle preparation. Medical bleaching gel, custom-fit 3D bleaching tray: The new Flairesse Bleaching Gel was developed specifically for the medical, preparatory treatment of developmental enamel defects and can also be used on young patients. It thus fills a critical gap in care. Another valuable component of the treatment is the 3D-printed DentaMile bleaching tray. Its key advantages are the precise reservoirs, which can be adapted to the individual patient’s situation, and the excellent marginal seal. This ensures efficient bleaching and reliably protects the gums.At the DMG booth in Hall 10.1, interested visitors can see for themselves the new possibilities offered by MIH treatment.
