International Endodontic Summit (IES) 2026
Published on
Lemgo, April 10, 2026 – How will endodontics be practiced in the future? With this year’s International Endodontic Summit (IES), Komet Dental is introducing a continuing education format centered on that very question. The summit brings together internationally recognized experts and dedicated dentists with a strong focus on endodontics. At its core are evidence-based concepts, structured clinical decision pathways, and content directly relevant to everyday practice.
On October 1 and 2, 2026, Komet Dental will host its first International Endodontic Summit (IES) at the Hotel Oderberger in Berlin. Deliberately limited to 300 participants, the IES provides a setting for experts to engage in scientific exchange at the highest level. The scientific program is complemented by 14 accredited CME credits*.
The International Endodontic Summit (IES) combines scientific depth with clinical workflows and practice-relevant insights into the future of endodontics.
Advanced Clinical Endodontics at the Peer Level: Focus, Depth, and Dialogue
The scientific program focuses on Advanced Clinical Endodontics and follows the entire clinical workflow: from diagnosis to therapeutic strategies and treatment techniques, through to post-endodontic restoration. This structure provides clarity and supports implementation in daily practice. Topics on the agenda include forward-looking fields such as artificial intelligence in the dental office and in endodontics, current concepts in pulpotomy, issues of timing and efficiency, bioceramic sealers, the management of endodontic failures, and restorative treatment concepts, including CAD/CAM. Additional discussion formats provide deeper insight into the content and foster meaningful professional exchange.
Prof. Massimo Gagliani coordinates the scientific program and ensures that the content is carefully organized and coherent. Together with the speakers, he ensures the clinical quality of all presentations. The lectures will be delivered by renowned international speakers from Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic, all of whom are recognized experts in their fields.
IES deliberately prioritizes depth over breadth, clinical relevance over generalization, and scientific exchange that allows for in-depth discussion. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 300 participants. This intentional limitation creates the conditions for focused peer-to-peer dialogue and direct access to international experts. These experts are available not only as presenters but also as conversation partners. In addition to direct exchange and a shared dinner event, the historic setting of the Hotel Oderberger also contributes to an environment that bridges scientific content with everyday clinical practice.
“The IES was created to foster scientific depth, structured clinical thinking, and meaningful professional exchange. With a clear focus on advancing endodontic excellence and translating evidence-based knowledge into everyday clinical practice,” says Prof. Massimo Gagliani, Scientific Coordinator of the International Endodontic Summit.
