IDS online GmbH operates IDS.online, the global B2B portal for the dental industry, where more than 2,700 manufacturers from over 30 countries showcase their products and services year-round. Dental practices and dental laboratories can use the platform to find comprehensive information about product offerings, conduct direct product comparisons, and order dental products through the integrated B2B store. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the VDDI (Association of the German Dental Industry), the company has close ties to the International Dental Show (IDS). In 2025, the platform was recognized as an AI innovator by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization (diind).

IDS online GmbH was founded on April 25, 2022, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Association of the German Dental Industry (VDDI), headquartered in Cologne. Michael Mollath serves as the company’s managing director. An initial prototype of the platform was unveiled at IDS 2023. The company is registered in the Commercial Register of the Cologne Local Court under HRB 110848.

More than 2,700 dental manufacturers from over 30 countries showcase their products on the platform. The supplier directory is organized into categories such as dentistry, dental technology, infection control, services for dental practices and laboratories, and digital transformation in dentistry and dental technology.

The Product Data Hub (PDH) is a fully integrated PIM and DAM solution developed specifically for dental manufacturers. Its centralized data management enables user-friendly maintenance of product data with a direct connection to the ERP system. Master data can be converted into customer-oriented product data in any number of languages and made available for print catalogs, online stores, or retailers.

The Order Process Hub (OPH) enables the digital transmission of orders between dental distributors and manufacturers. Documents such as delivery notes and invoices are exchanged digitally, saving time and money. Unlike traditional EDI connections with one-to-one links, the central hub requires only a single connection through which a distributor can access all connected manufacturers.

Yes, IDS.online has launched its own B2B store where dental products can be ordered directly. The platform brings supply and demand together year-round, so dental practices and dental labs don’t have to wait for the next trade show. In addition, the platform offers Dental News, an education section for continuing education, and a job portal for the dental industry.

Dental manufacturers can get in touch via the ids.online website under the “Become a Partner” menu item. There, they can create a company profile featuring products, images, and videos. The platform also offers services such as the Product Data Hub, the Order Process Hub, and professional lead generation in collaboration with CRM specialist SnapAddy.
