Steco-System-Technik GmbH & Co. KG is an industry-leading manufacturer of medical devices for dental implantology, modern dental technology, and prosthodontics. Steco was founded in Hamburg in 1996, but draws on the Stemmann family’s dental tradition spanning over 100 years. Steco’s first products were pea-sized mini-magnets for use in and on the human body. The idea for Titanmagnetics came to master dental technician Hartmut Stemmann in his dental laboratory, which he founded in 1960. Even today, they remain the core of the Steco portfolio, which has since been expanded to include additional products for dental implantology. Steco has been offering titanium drill sleeves since 1999 and is now a global leader in this field. The titanium sleeves are available in a wide variety of shapes for all areas of template-guided surgery.
