In your practice, you treat a variety of patients in different clinical situations, and you find the right approach for each one. That’s exactly what DeltaFil is designed for. This self-adhesive glass ionomer filling material fits seamlessly into your daily routine and supports you in your routine filling procedures. DeltaFil combines all the properties that define a modern filling material. It promotes remineralization through fluoride release. It offers a wide range of shades for a natural tooth color. It is versatile and supports an efficient treatment workflow. We’ve answered the most common questions about using DeltaFil in your daily practice. DeltaFil in Daily Practice: A Material That Fits Right In Every day, you handle situations that go beyond the textbook cavity. A hard-to-reach posterior tooth, limited isolation, a hypersensitive tooth, or a patient who is uncooperative. DeltaFil supports you precisely in these situations. Because it is self-adhesive, it eliminates the need for a separate bonding step and simplifies application. Its moisture tolerance helps you work confidently even under challenging isolation conditions. The bulk application—without layering or light curing—keeps the procedure smooth and straightforward. Its special mechanical properties ensure a stable restoration that withstands chewing forces. Together, these properties make DeltaFil quick and efficient to use. Thus, DeltaFil is not a specialized solution for isolated cases. It’s a tool that fits seamlessly into typical everyday situations without requiring you to change your workflow. Advantage after advantage: At a glance, DeltaFil combines the properties that matter in everyday dental practice. It remineralizes through fluoride release, thereby supporting the prevention of secondary caries.1 Its wide range of shades—from White to Dark—contributes to a natural tooth color, even for primary teeth and age-related discoloration. Elastomeric micelle technology provides it with mechanical stability that can withstand repeated chewing forces.2 Its self-adhesive application process, which requires no light curing, works efficiently. And its versatile applications support you through the various life stages of your patients. DeltaFil combines efficiency, versatility, and modern material properties in a solution designed to meet the needs of your practice. Well-filled. Well-felt. Sources: 1. Cowen M et al. MIH Is No Child's Play: How Chalky Teeth Affect Young Patients
Denken Sie beispielsweise an Ihren ersten Schultag zurück. Die Aufregung, neue Menschen und fremde Gesichter – Lächeln mit Kreidezähnen? Eigentlich undenkbar. Developmental Enamel Opacities: A New, Validated Treatment Approach
Fluorosis, MIH, amelogenesis imperfecta, and trauma-induced enamel opacities affect countless people worldwide. Patients suffer from aesthetic impairments and tooth hypersensitivity. This can lead to social exclusion, bullying, functional complaints, and pain. Nevertheless, there have been few adequate treatment options to date for this group of patients, most of whom are young. DMG presents a validated, minimally invasive treatment concept combining bleaching, infiltration, and 3D printing technology. Infiltration with Icon: A Game-Changer for Patients with Developmental Enamel Opacities The minimally invasive infiltration procedure using Icon Vestibular offers an effective and gentle solution for conditions such as MIH on anterior teeth. The treated area blends seamlessly with the healthy enamel. Infiltration in cases of MIH preserves healthy tooth structure—a crucial advantage in the treatment of young patients. It also gently improves the aesthetic appearance. Infiltration Plus Bleaching for an Optimal Overall Result To achieve a harmonious overall result, it is necessary to prepare the teeth for the subsequent infiltration. This pretreatment of developmental enamel opacities conditions the protein-rich lesions, thereby optimally preparing them for infiltration therapy. With DMG’s Flairesse Bleaching Gel, a medical device is now available that, thanks to its low concentrations of CP 5% and CP 10%, enables precisely this type of gentle preparation. Medical bleaching gel, custom-fit 3D bleaching tray: The new Flairesse Bleaching Gel was developed specifically for the medical, preparatory treatment of developmental enamel defects and can also be used on young patients. It thus fills a critical gap in care. Another valuable component of the treatment is the 3D-printed DentaMile bleaching tray. Its key advantages are the precise reservoirs, which can be adapted to the individual patient’s situation, and the excellent marginal seal. This ensures efficient bleaching and reliably protects the gums.At the DMG booth in Hall 10.1, interested visitors can see for themselves the new possibilities offered by MIH treatment. Company and Background
What sets DMG apart as a partner for dental practices and dental laboratories?
DMG has more than 60 years of experience in the dental industry. Since 1963, the Hamburg-based company has been developing, manufacturing, and marketing high-quality product solutions “made in Germany.” Its portfolio includes solutions for prevention and early intervention, direct restorative therapy, temporary and permanent prosthetics, impression-taking, and digital workflows. With Icon, DMG offers the only product for gentle infiltration treatment. The DMG DentaMile portfolio includes hardware, software, materials, and validated digital workflows for dental 3D printing. Approximately 20% of its nearly 500 employees work in research and development. DMG was the first dental company to receive ISO certification and has undergone multiple FDA inspections.
Who is behind DMG, and where is production carried out?
DMG was founded in Hamburg in 1963 by Ernst Mühlbauer. Today, the family-owned business is led by the second generation—Dr. Wolfgang Mühlbauer, the founder’s son, and Susanne Stegen. DMG develops and manufactures its products at its facility in Hamburg-Lurup. All divisions of the company are based here, from research and development to production, sales, marketing, and training. DMG’s branded products are distributed in over 80 countries through selected retail partners.
What awards has DMG received for its dental products?
For Icon, the only product for gentle infiltration therapy, DMG received, among other honors, the 2010 German Innovation Award and was named the most innovative dental product of 2009 by German dentists. In addition, the cloud-based software DentaMile connect was awarded the German Innovation Award. Independent international testing institutes regularly confirm the high quality of DMG products.
Products and Solutions
What is Icon by DMG, and how does the infiltration treatment work?
Icon by DMG is the world’s only product for infiltration therapy. This innovative method makes it possible to halt early-stage proximal caries without drilling, as well as to provide aesthetic treatment for development-related enamel opacities on smooth surfaces, such as caries-related white spots, MIH, fluorosis, or trauma. To achieve this, a highly fluid resin (infiltrant) penetrates the porous enamel prepared with etching gel and seals the pore system. Icon is available in two versions: Icon Proximal for interdental spaces and Icon Vestibular for smooth surfaces.
What areas and products does the DMG portfolio for dental practices and dental laboratories include?
DMG’s key application areas and products include: Dental 3D printing (the comprehensive DentaMile portfolio, featuring hardware, DentaMile connect software, and LuxaPrint 3D printing materials), prevention and early intervention (Icon Infiltration, Flairesse prophylaxis system), and modern restoration concepts (DeltaFil, Ecosite One). DMG also has a traditionally strong presence in the areas of temporary restorations (Luxatemp family, TempoCem), impression taking (Honigum Pro, LuxaBite, MixStar eMotion), and post-endodontic restorations (LuxaCore Z, LuxaPost).
What solutions for dental 3D printing does DMG DentaMile offer?
DentaMile is DMG’s comprehensive suite of solutions for dental 3D printing in dental practices and dental laboratories. It includes the in-house developed cloud-based software DentaMile connect, 3D printers (e.g., DentaMile Lab5), post-processing units, and the LuxaPrint material family with resins for bite splints, whitening trays, and models. The software allows users to handle design and printing themselves or delegate these tasks to partners within the network. The DentaMile Design & Print Service also makes it possible to take advantage of 3D printing even without owning a printer. The digital workflows are validated and meet the high standards required for medical devices.
