The inauguration ceremony at the new orangedental Education Center in Biberach began at 10:00 a.m. on 26.04.2024. The program of high-ranking speakers from dentistry, trade and industry was varied and exciting. After a brief welcome by Stefan Kaltenbach, the opening address was given by Prof. Dr. Christoph Benz, President of the German Dental Association via video, followed by Jochen Linneweh (President of the German Dental Trade Association). Dr. Markus Heibach then conveyed greetings from the VDDI. This was followed by presentations on the latest in X-ray technology, including MRI/dental (Prof. Dr. Ralf Schultze), digital workflow/ IO scan (Dr. Ingo Baresel) and AI in dentistry (Prof. Dr. Falk Schwendicke). M. Sc. in ZT Josef Schweiger impressed with very good results of the Perfit FS fully sintered zirconia with the EASY Mill4 in chairside use. Prof. Dr. Nicole Arweiler reported on the latest paroer findings.
Prof. Dr. Reinhard Hickel kicked off the afternoon with a summary of his experiences with modern concepts in dental training. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Becker reported on his successes in digital implant planning. Prof. Dr. Margit-Ann Geibel described mobile radiology in Germany, whereupon Dr. Vapula Haukongo presented his concept of this very mobile CHD in practice. Dr. Thomas Fischer presented practical freecorder cases in which he no longer needed any looping. Dr. Peter Bongard presented key factors for full reconstructions including the new bite position determination using the Cranioplan method. MDT Vanik Kaufmann presented the most effective data management software between practice and laboratory.
In between, there were interesting short presentations by orangedental employees on the company's own products, in particular the magnetic flex camera for opt-on® loupe glasses, which will be launched at IDS, and the world's first head-mounted stereo microscope with all-round vision. The new Vatech S21 devices, the first spiral CT, the Green X 21 with Facescan, and the new IO sensor based on Photon - counting. The Fussen stationary facescanner, which is currently in the beta test phase, rounded off the many innovations in the orangedental portfolio.
The guests from dental practices, the trade and local institutions enjoyed an extensive buffet lunch. They were impressed by the new premises, which allow interactive training courses in seven rooms thanks to appropriate mobile partitions, e.g. also ideal for hands-on circle training. In the future, the new o|cademy Education Center will be used for events and workshops for dental practices as well as for further training for sales and technology of specialist retail partners and complements the many digital communication tools, such as the more than 45 webinars since 2020.
In the evening, the big orangedental party began in the specially erected marquee. After the buffet was opened by Stefan Kaltenbach, the guests were able to enjoy the buffet and the wide range of drinks on offer. The ladies band Sax & Strings and the well-known band Papa'z Finest from Cologne created a great atmosphere. As a highlight, 10 hostesses presented the orangedental products on a catwalk, either physically or with a corresponding picture, to great applause. The party ended around 2:00 a.m. and the last guests left the tent in high spirits.
