There are not many products that have been on the market for over 60 years and are still successful today - especially not in the dental market. The Dentaurum Orthocryl® orthodontic resin has combined excellent product properties and biocompatibility with reliable and easy handling for more than six decades. To this day, the salt and pepper technique is the dominant method in the manufacture of braces. Orthocryl® has been continuously adapted to market requirements over the years. The wide product range not only offers a large variety of colorful shades for creative braces, but with Orthocryl® LC also an absolutely allergy-friendly light-curing material.
Dentaurum focuses on innovation and quality. As one of the pioneers and market leaders in the dental market, the focus is consistently on customer needs. "Engineered and made in Germany" at the company headquarters in Ispringen in the northern Black Forest, Orthocryl® is one of over 8,500 branded products that set standards worldwide.
Dentaurum ushered in a new era in the manufacture of removable orthodontic appliances with Orthocryl® in 1963. Over the decades, the material properties and processing have been continuously adapted to market requirements. A great deal of experimentation, passion and, last but not least, feedback from users around the world have resulted in a broad product portfolio which, with the help of creative dental technicians, makes every little patient's wish for braces a reality. In addition to many great colors such as neon, pink or emerald green, Orthocryl® also offers accessories such as disco mica and many great inlay motifs for the design.
Orthocryl® is available as a classic version for the scattering technique and as Orthocryl® EQ for the doughing technique. As a class IIa product, it is even approved for use in the fixed technique without hesitation, as it is highly biocompatible. The combination of the special particle size distribution of the powder component and the coordinated liquid results in optimum stability. For the anniversary year, Dentaurum collected many tips and tricks from professionals for the practical application of Orthocryl® in a digital guide. In addition to application tips, this guide also offers many insights into the production of the material. In addition, numerous application videos are available on the Dentaurum YouTube channel.
The light-curing material Orthocryl® LC is also celebrating its anniversary in this product portfolio. Dentaurum has been offering a completely monomer-free version of the successful orthodontic resin since 2014. The innovative material is ready to use from the cartridge and is therefore very easy to apply. Orthocryl® LC is environmentally friendly and an absolutely biocompatible alternative for allergy sufferers - both for patients and technicians.
